My Journey

My journey started during my childhood, where I developed a fondness for playing football and practicing flips in the backyard. As I ventured into these activities, I faced the daunting task of self-instruction, battling the fear that often came with it, all without the aid of a mentor.

Upon enrolling at UNCW for my academic pursuits, I stumbled upon the UNCW cheer team, which turned out to be a pivotal point in my life. It was within this team that I uncovered my true calling – coaching.

Education & Expertise

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, which has provided me with a deep understanding of the mechanics behind physical fitness and performance. This knowledge, coupled with many years of hands on experience, allows me to tailor my coaching to each individual's unique needs, ensuring safe and effective training.

A Passion for Working With Kids

One of my greatest joys is working with children. Their energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn never cease to amaze me. As a tumbling instructor, I take pride in nurturing their potential, building their confidence, and helping them achieve their goals, both on and off the mat.

 Hi, I'm Coach Liv!

Hey Friends! I am so happy to be a part of such an amazing program and can't wait to share my love of coaching with you all! I have a long background in not only coaching, but also competing. I started off as a gymnast and competed for 7 years up to level 9. I was looking for a change and took up competitive all-star cheer where I competed 5 years at worlds at both level 5 & 6 open. Throughout my late training years I started to find my passion in coaching and got a job coaching both all-star cheer and compulsory gymnastics.

My Journey

Throughout college I coached for Gymnastics Unlimited commuting back and forth twice a week. I grew in love with gymnastics again and found myself coaching competitive Xcel gymnastics and did that for almost 7 years. In that time I earned the head coach position and also worked in cardiac and pulmonary rehab at New Hanover. However, coaching was always where my passion was and I couldn't kick the urge to be more involved in the gym. After deciding to solely coach, I took on all kinds of amazing coaching opportunities such as state, regional, and national congresses, coaching courses, and camps like FlipFest & Woodward!

Education & Expertise

After my competitive days were over, I attended East Carolina University where I earned my bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. I was honored to be a part of the very first Kinesiology living and learning program there which really helped develop my interest in the way the body moves. I can not wait to bring my experience, excitement, and positive energy into the gym & watch the magic happen!
